Meet Larry Carr,

I didn’t start out photographing pets. For years, photography was just a creative outlet — a way to slow down and notice the details that often slip by. But everything changed the day I lost my own dog.

I was fortunate to have taken the time to photograph him both in a studio setting and in his natural element. I wanted to capture his personality — the way he tilted his head when he was curious, the spark in his eyes. I didn’t know then how meaningful those images would become.

The following year, he passed away suddenly. It was heartbreaking — but in the middle of that grief, I realized how lucky I was. I didn’t just have a handful of quick phone snapshots; I had portraits that truly reflected who he was. They became my way to hold on — to remember him not just as he looked, but as he lived.

That experience changed how I saw photography entirely. It made me realize that professional portraits aren’t just pictures — they’re emotional keepsakes that tell a story long after our pets are gone. They become a part of the healing process, a way to keep that connection alive.

Every time I photograph someone’s pet, I think about what those images might mean to them one day. I want every client to have what I had — the comfort of knowing they’ve preserved their pet’s spirit, personality, and love in a way that lasts.

Let’s capture the joy, love, and personality of your furry best friend; because someday, those portraits won’t just remind you what your pet looked like. They’ll remind you how deeply they were loved
